🌧️ Is 16Gb Ddr4 2400Mhz Good
Well, an 8Gb DDR4 2400 MHz is faster than the 16Gb DDR3 1600 Mhz but less in storage capacity. So, if the gaming requirement is a minimum of 16 GB, then you must go for the 16 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM. Otherwise, you must choose the 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz RAM. All of the significant variations between 16Gb DDR3 1600 Mhz and 8Gb DDR4 2400 MHz will be

A 2400MHz RAM shows 9-15 CL, a 3200MHz RAM shows 14-16 CL, and a 3600MHz RAM shows 14-19 CL. At first glance, it may seem that 2400MHz RAM will perform the fastest. However, since the performance of a RAM depends heavily on its clock speed as well, a RAM with a higher clock speed and a higher CL can still outperform a RAM with a lower clock
The easiest way is to load XMP setting first and then manually change memory frequency to 2666 and increase voltage a bit. Your module seems to be rated at 2400 16-16-16-39 1.2V, so you should be able to do 2666 16-16-16-39 with a higher voltage than 1.2V. Something like 1.28V might be stable but you never know until you try.

You can build a powerful gaming PC with 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM for instance (which is on the lower side of clock speed). Would it be better to have say, that 16GB of RAM at 3200MHz+? Absolutely! But it’s not a deal-breaker to have lower speeds if your budget is tight or you’re simply not bothered about fine-tuning potential performance/game FPS.
If it is recommended to upgrade the ram, would 16Gb (2x8) 3200Mhz C16 Vengeance LPX be fine? I assume so considering that the Alder Lake RAM guide concludes that "If you want to play it safe, stick with DDR4-3200. DDR4-3200 should always be your baseline for Alder Lake since it's the guaranteed data rate for Gear 1. Don't settle for anything less.

3200 CL22 - 13.75 calculated ns. 2400 CL17 - 14.1666666 calculated ns. It would be even better if you could find laptop memory with much lower cas latency like say this 3200 kit at CL16 - 76.00 which would lower your calculated ns down to 10. Or go direct and get 32GB of the same speed and latency for 114.00.
The typical frequency for gaming laptops is 2133 MHz, whereas the typical frequency for upscale gaming laptops is 2400 MHz. However, the fundamental distinction is that although 2400 MHz RAM is slower but has a higher bandwidth, 2133 MHz RAM is faster and has lower latency. RAM running at 2400 MHz is faster, but you also need to be aware of the
